Any artist who hasn’t worked yet in one of the cabarets in Germany. There is no age limit. Duos or groups can also apply.

Yes. Even if you were not selected last year, you can apply again for the Newcomershow. Your chances are the same as all other applicants.

Please send the video to Anna Schubert (a.schubert@krystallpalastvariete.de) and let her know that you have already applied but now have a better video. She will add the video to your application.

Yes.

You will receive the information whether you have been selected by the end of April 2025 at the latest. You will also receive a message if you are not selected.

Yes.

You will get a standard rate depending on the country you come from:

Germany: 150€
Other countries in Europe: 350€
Outside Europe: 1000€

The Krystallpalast Varieté will provide accommodation for you. Either in one of the Artist’s apartments above the theatre with private bedroom and shared kitchen and bathroom or in an apartment hotel close by.

Yes, during the festival week you will get breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a day catering.

No, please send us an uncut video of your entire act.

Please send an unedited video of your act.

It doesn't matter if the video was made on stage or if it's a video from a rehearsal. With a video from practice, you have just as good a chance as with a video from the stage.

Please send a video from the last 12 months.
